Hi, I'm John 🤓
From a young age, technology had me hooked. What started as the love for the thrill solving each new puzzle brought from playing video games, quickly escalated to a life long passion for tech of all kinds. I have to thank my parents for giving me a Dell Inspiron laptop for my 10th Birthday, an inflection point in my technological journey. Before long I taught myself how to flash my video game consoles and phones with custom firmware and it was off to the races from here.
During my middle school years, I started exploring advanced networking. This new found curiosity coupled with the help of a few IRC chat rooms, allowed me to explore the darker side of the web and the type of people that exist in it at an early age. In my late teens and early twenties, I was introduced to the Usenet network and newsgroups, and would continue to explore this space while learning the intricacies of Docker and networking while using Unraid OS.
Fast forward to the present, and my journey is far from over. Whether I'm tackling client-centric projects or just working on a passion project, my values are the same: 1. Strive for simplicity. 2. Have a complete understanding of the problem before coming to any solutions. 3. Leave things in better shape then I found them in.
Stay curious,
John
